On Tuesday, April 8, the Garden of Dreams Foundation, a not for profit charity that works closely with the Madison Square Garden Company to make dreams come true for children facing obstacles, hosted 52 children from a variety of area-hospitals and WHEDco, a Bronx-based community organization, at the Theater at MSG for its first-ever prom.
The teens were outfitted with designer clothing that they picked out with the help of model Damaris Lewis and NY Ranger Henrik Lundqvist, had their hair and makeup done by MAC makeup artists and Bumble and Bumble hairstylists and were accompanied by the Rockettes as they prepared for their big night.
The kids then walked a red carpet on their way into the magical event, where they were visited by Michael Strahan and treated to a surprise performance by Travie McCoy.
