Richard Greenberg's new play
The House in Town, presented by Lincoln
Center Theater and directed by
Doug Hughes, opens on Monday, June 19,
at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater. The play is currently in previews.
"Set in the early months of
1929 in a townhouse on Millionaire's Row (23rd Street between 9th and
10th Avenues) in New York, The House in Town is an intimate portrait of
a marriage," state press notes. The cast of this world premiere production features Becky
Ann Baker, Dan Bittner,
Mark Harelik,
Jessica Hecht and
Armand Schultz,
with Matt Dickson and Barbara McCulloh. Greenberg is the author of
Three Days of Rain, as well as
A Naked Girl on the Appian Way, Everett Beekin, The Well-Appointed Room, Bal Masque and the Tony Award-winning
Take Me Out, among others.
The House in Town will be performed Tuesday
through Saturday evening at 8pm, with matinees Wednesday and Saturdays
at 2pm and Sundays at 3pm. Tickets, priced at $70 and $75, will be
available beginning Monday, May 8 at the Lincoln Center Theater box
