The History Boys, a new play by Alan Bennett, has hit Broadway for a limited 20 week engagement. The National Theatre of Great Britain's successful production, currently in previews, has hopped across the pond with an opening night at the Broadhurst Theatre set for April 23rd.

Directed by Nicholas Hytner, The History Boys tells the story of "an unruly bunch of bright, funny sixth-form boys in pursuit of a place at university. A maverick English teacher at odds with the young and shrewd supply teacher. A headmaster obsessed with results and a history teacher who thinks he's a fool. Alan Bennett's The History Boys is about staffroom rivalry, the anarchy of adolescence and the purpose of education."

The Broadhurst Theatre is located at 235 West 44th St., NYC. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit www.historyboysonbroadway.com or call Telecharge at 212-239-6200.
