Audax Theatre Group presents the world-premiere of Daniel Roberts' - author of the plays Frankie and Brando - dark comedy The Gold Standard. Previews begin June 1st, prior to its official press opening on June 3 at the Irish Arts Center (553 West 51st Street) in Manhattan.
"Set in a fabled bar at an Ivy League university, The Gold Standard concerns two college chums - a nervous businessman and his idol, an eccentric Korean poet - and what happens when, after years apart, they both fall in love with the same beautiful and insatiable woman," state press notes.Scheduled June 1 through July 1 (with an opening night on June 3rd), performances of The Gold Standard run Thursdays through Saturdays at 8:00pm at the Irish Arts Center (553 West 51st Street).
