On Thursday, January 7, The 8th Annual June Briggs Awards were held at the Russian Tea Room in New York City.
Briggs Inc. presented the 8th annual June Briggs Awards for Destination Management Excellence winners. The awards honor New York City's leading businesses that have excelled in performance and service in the destination management and hospitality industry.
This year's recipients included NYC & Company with George Fertitta accepting the Award; Jonathan Tisch, Chairman and CEO of Loews Hotels; and Great Performances, with Liz Neumark, CEO accepting the Award. In attendance was Briggs Inc. Founders Anthony Napoli and Gary Newman and Elisa Van Duyn of FINIAN'S Rainbow, who provided entertainment.
A Destination Management Company (DMC) is a company that provides specialized services based on extensive knowledge and expertise in the design and planning of events, activities, tours, transportation and program logistics. These services most often include planned transportation, hotel accommodation, restaurants, activities, excursions, conference venues, themed events, gala dinners and logistics, as well as helping with overcoming language barriers.
The June Briggs Awards for Destination Management Excellence in New York City are named in honor of the visionary founder of the DMC industry in New York, June Briggs.
