Photo Flash: THE COLOR PURPLE's Cynthia Erivo Leads Master Class in NYC

On Sunday, October 16th, Broadway Workshop presented a special, one-day musical theatre master class with the Tony Award-winning star of The Color Purple, Cynthia Erivo. BroadwayWorld has photos from the class below!

Students in the master class had the opportunity to work with Ms. Erivo on song interpretation and audition technique. Each student was given exercises to allow them to see their songs in a new way and find better ways to connect to their own material and use their voice to tell their story.

Students were also part of a Q&A with Erivo, musical director, Randy Redd and Broadway Workshop director, Marc Tumminelli. Some scholarships where provided by Project Broadway.
