Today, December 5, AARP The Magazine hosted a celebratory luncheon, alongside AARP Movies for Grownups, honoring stage and screen actress Helen Mirren, cover girl of the December/January issue, at The Modern, NYC. Scroll down for photos!

Mirren last starred on Broadway in THE AUDIENCE, for which she won a Tony Award in 2015. She will soon appear on the big screen in COLLATERAL BEAUTY, WINCHESTER, THE LEISURE SEAKER, FAST 8 and THE NUTCRACKER AND THE FOUR REALMS.

Among her other recent film credits are TRUMBO, EYE IN THE SKY, WOMAN IN GOLD and THE HUNDRED-FOOT JOURNEY. Mirren won an Oscar for her performances as Queen Elizabeth II in THE QUEEN; other notable films include HITCHCOCK, CALENDAR GIRLS, GOSFORD PARK, THE MADNESS OF KING GEORGE and more.
