On Monday night at the National Arts Club, the St. George's Society of New York, the leading British charitable and social organization in the United States, founded in 1770, held its monthly Theatrical Arts event at the National Arts Club.
The entertainment, produced by Theatre Producer Margot Astrachan, featured the evening's host, Broadway star Jim Dale (The Threepenny Opera, Barnum) with guest TV/Film actor, Geoffrey Holder (Live and Let Die) and a special musical performance by cabaret star Steve Ross. Holder and Dale had the audience roaring as they related anecdotes from their respective careers. Steve Ross with his charming wit and personality at the Piano gave the evening the perfect capper.
Anyone interested in knowing more about the St. George's Society can visit their site at www.stgeorgessociety.org. Their next event on February 26th at the National Arts Club will feature Jim Dale & Louise Kerz Hirschfeld in conversation about The Legacy of Al Hirschfeld, the most celebrated theatrical caricaturist of our time.
