Photo Flash: Situation Cares Cocktails Benefit

On June 16th, Situation Interactive hosted a fundraising event in New York City for its charitable extension Situation Cares. Situation Cares was created two years ago after the loss of Ian Bennett, Situation Interactive's former Creative Director, first employee and friend. The event raised money for the Ian Bennett Memorial Fund, a component of the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan Counties that awards college scholarships to students showing outstanding promise in the arts.

Attendees of Cocktails for Cares included many members of the Broadway community along with Situation's marketing partners. The event featured a mobile phone silent auction which allowed attendees to bid on items through their mobile phone, putting a spin on the traditional silent auction.

Situation Interactive plans to hold future events for Situation Cares. These events will run alongside their Events @ Situation series, a monthly industry gathering to discuss current trends in the online and theatre communities.
