This past weekend, SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark hosted a special Mother's Day themed Everyday Hero, this time honoring Cathy Fritea, a mother who lost her first-born son. Out of her grief, she started the Angels Fund charity, which helps comfort grieving parents who have lost a child. Isabel Keating, who plays Aunt May, made a curtain call speech and invited Cathy on stage. Check out photos of Cathy with the cast below!
SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark features music and lyrics by 22-time Grammy Award-winners Bono and The Edge and a book co-written by Julie Taymor, Glen Berger andRoberto Aguirre-Sacasa, with direction by Ms. Taymor and additional direction by Philip William McKinley. Scenic Designer George Tsypin and Costume Designer Eiko Ishioka are winners of Outer Critics Circle Awards and were nominated for Tony Awards for their work on Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark.
Tickets for Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark are priced from $49 - $147.50, and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com or by calling (877) 250-2929. A select number of premium tickets are available for purchase. Tickets are also available at the Foxwoods Theatre box office (213 West 42nd Street), which is open Monday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
