Patrick Page played his final performance as 'The Green Goblin' in Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark yesterday, August 5. Broadway star Robert Cuccioli, best known for his Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle winning and Tony-nominated performance as the star of Jekyll and Hyde, will take on the role in his long-anticipated return to Broadway. Cuccioli will play his first performance on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at the Foxwoods Theatre (213 West 42nd Street).

On Saturday night, the cast of SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark gathered at the Aspen Social Club to say farewell to Page. Check out photos from the gathering below!

Page originated the role on Broadway first in the preview version, during which his character was killed in the first act. His Green Goblin role was expanded following the show's extended preview period of more than 180 performances.

Page is set to join Roundabout Theater Company's Cyrano de Bergerac as the Comte de Guiche in September this year. Page, a notable portrayer of villains, also appeared as King Henry VIII in the 2008 Broadway revival of A Man For All Seasons, as the Grinch in Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical on Broadway in 2006 and 2007, and as Scar in Broadway's The Lion King. He also performed on the Great White Way in 2005's Julius Caesar revival, as Lumière in Beauty and the Beast in 1994 and in The Kentucky Cycle in 1993.

Off-Broadway, he played several ensemble roles in The Tragedy of Richard II, as well as appearing in Rex and The Duchess of Malfi. In 2006, Page was awarded the Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Leading Performance by an Actor for his portrayal of Iago in Michael Kahn's Othello at The Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, D.C. He has also been active in productions at San Diego's Old Globe Theatre.
