Photo Flash: Rockettes Unveil New Costume for Madame Tussauds' Wax Figure

The Rockettes and Madame Tussauds New York kicked off the holidays in style, with the unveiling of the new Rockettes costume on their famed wax figure and a brand new exhibit surrounding The Rockettes at the world famous Times Square attraction. In celebration of the 85th anniversary of The Rockettes performing in New York City, Madame Tussauds New York has revamped their Rockettes exhibit to highlight 85 years of Rockettes history in New York including vintage photos and a behind-the-scenes video compilation. The Rockettes wax figure will also be dressed in a Rockettes costume called "Happy Feet," featuring an usherette style maroon and gold jacket embroidered with an "R" that was designed in 1990 for the legendary dance company. The 2012 edition of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, running now through December 30, will invite audiences to take part in The Rockettes Celebration! Audiences will experience the past, present and future of The Rockettes. This year's production will feature dazzling dance numbers, beloved favorites, breathtaking special effects and a brand new showcase featuring some of The Rockettes most extraordinary costumes through the years. The 2012 Christmas Spectacular promises to create lasting memories for generations of families that have made this cherished production a holiday tradition. Madame Tussauds New York is celebrating over 10 years as the interactive "must do" attraction in the heart of Times Square, providing guests with unique opportunities to create memories with some of the world's biggest icons.
