In what appears to be the first ever wedding ceremony at an art fair, the Kevin Berlin, internationally renowned painter and performance who just flew in from Italy, tied the knot with his long-time true love, Snow White. Palm Springs is one of the Nation's most popular and memorable locations for a wedding and honeymoon, the artist selected the Palm Springs Fine Art Fair as the perfect time and setting for the nuptials. Kevin Berlin, the true romantic and ideologically ingenious groom, who is friends with Santa Claus and The Easter Bunny, has courted his adoring bride-to-be for years. Indeed, he has memorialized his passion in several of his works. Check out the photos below!
After all, she is the fairest of them all. As an ardent believer in all things wonderful, the rhapsodic and quixotic groom wed the lovely Snow White in open ceremony at the Fair. Mr. Berlin, and his friend and Brussels-based art dealer, Gregoire Vogelsang organized the very special event.
As for the wedding of Berlin to Snow White - Berlin's actual fiancée, Valeria Plotnikova, whom he met in Mexico several years ago - it was a fairy tale dream of artistic proportions and It got the attention of many art-goers.
The violinist played "Here Comes the Bride" as Berlin and Snow White made their way down an aisle of the Palm Springs Convention Center.
Sleeping Beauty was the maid of honor and Happy, one of the seven dwarfs, was the best man. They couple used ring pops as wedding rings. They met when Berlin served as a judge for an international bikini contest. Snow White was Miss Bikini Ireland.
"In your childhood you always have an admiration for fairy tale. His dream was always to get married to Snow White," said Gregoire Vogelsang, owner of Vogelsang Gallery inBrussels who represents Berlin. Vogelsang Gallery's a booth at the art fair featured Berlin's oil-on-canvas paintings.
Berlin who regularly mixes his talents as a painter with his avant garde performance pieces who has been known to stand in a gallery window on posh Jobs Lane in Southampton while being draped in spaghetti by two gorgeous women, led an Alien Invasion complete with green painted models with spiky ears at last season's Art Southampton where Mayor Mark Epley greeted them with open arms.
The internationally renowned artist, from Yale, studied at the Slade School of Fine Art. His work is in the collection of such notables as Kim Basinger, Luciano Pavarotti, David Letterman, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Quincy Jones and General Motors. Berlin was honored by President Reagan at The White House as a Young Arts Presidential Scholar in 1983. He has had art exhibitions in Shanghai, Kiev, Chicago and NYC
