Grant Park Music Festival concert in Chicago’s Millennium Park will host a a concert on July 13 and 14, 2012, entitled “Perfectly Frank: From Broadway to Hollywood." The show is a tribute to Frank Loesser, featuring Broadway's Rebecca Luker, Marin Mazzie, Jason Danieley, Howard McGillin. Check out the cast in rehearsal below!
The evening will also feature the Grant Park Orchestra, members of the Grant Park Chorus; Kevin Stites, guest conductor and Gary Griffin, director.
This concert highlights the work of one of the great classic Broadway composers, Frank Loesser, whose much loved works include Guys and Dolls (1950), The Most Happy Fella (1956), and How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying (1961).
Acclaimed by critics and beloved by audiences, the Grant Park Music Festival is the nation’s only free, summer-long outdoor classical music series of its kind. The ten week season, running Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays through August 18, features a summer of world premieres, Festival favorites and collaborations with local artists and cultural organizations.
