Tony Award winner Jefferson Mays, star of the 2014 Tony Award-winning Best Musical A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, is the latest featured artist in The Creative Faces Project: an evolving portrait and interview collective of artists inspiring the New York stage. His photos and interview, posted today, October 23rd, can be viewed on The Creative Faces Project website (www.thecreativefacesproject.com) and below!

Academy and Tony Award winner Ellen Burstyn (Picnic, The Little Flower of East Orange) will be released next week. Upcoming artists will be announced later this fall.

" 'Born to Late' are the three words that Mr. Mays used to describe himself, and after meeting him, I could not agree more. He seems to exist on this elevated plain of speech and manner that harken back to a different time. He is a true creature of the stage, which is undeniable to anyone who has had the opportunity to watch him work in A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder. It takes someone with a profound sense of joy and imagination to be able to convincingly embody the absurd array of characters that he does over the course of that show. Watching him do what he does, is watching the work of a true craftsman. I am so happy that he is represented in this project." -Jason Zeren: Photographer and Curator of The Creative Faces Project.
