At Monday night's League of Professional Theatre Women (LPTW) Oral History event (Monday September 22, 2014), Tony Award-Winning actress Phylicia Rashad interviewed stage and screen legend, activist and philanthropist Billie Allen to a standing-room-only audience at the Bruno Walter Auditorium at the NYPL of the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center. Scroll down for photos from the evening!

Allen, one of the founding members of the LPTW, discussed her life, career and beliefs. She noted that women in entertainment "don't have to take it, we can dish it." Allen encouraged the crowd to "reach back and bring everybody with you."
