The New York Musical Theatre Festival and Janet Billig Rich & Rebecca Roffman present a staged reading of the new musical IT'S ON!, the T.V. show theme song musical. Readings will take place on Tuesday July 10th and Wednesday July 11th at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at the Pershing Square Signature Center located at 480 West 42nd Street. All the songs you remember…one musical you'll never forget!
IT'S ON! uses the theme songs from T.V. shows like True Blood, The Brady Bunch, Charles in Charge, Small Wonder and even COPS to tell the story of Lucy (GREEN) and Charlie (HANLON). Song writing partners since college, Lucy and Charlie finally have been given the chance to record their own theme song for a new T.V. show. Stay tuned to find out if Lucy and Charlie succeed with the help of session singers Whitley Thomas-Harris-Jackson (RALPH) and PJ (HANSEN), and PJ's overzealous mom-ager Babs (STERLING.)

With an amazing ensemble cast of seasoned actors includes Jenna Leigh Green who made her Broadway debut in Wicked and played the role of Libby Chessler on Sabrina the Teenaged Witch; Colin Hanlon, who played Mark in Rent and currently stars in and produces the hit web-series Submissions Only and plays the role of Steven on Modern Family; Curt Hansen, who was in both Hairspray and Next to Normal. Sheryl Lee Ralph, nominated for a Tony for her role as one of the original Dreamgirls; and Mindy Sterling, best known for her character portrayal of "Frau Farbissina" in The Austin Powers Trilogy. And then there is Mort, the recording studio sound technician. On Tuesday at 8pm, Mort will be played by Michael Urie of Ugly Betty and star of the new fall CBS series Partners. On Wednesday at 4:30pm & 8:00pm, Paige Davis of Trading Spaces and the Broadway hit Boeing Boeing, will play the role.

IT'S ON! is a new original musical written by Stan Zimmerman and Christian McLaughlin and directed by Stan Zimmerman. Stan has many notable credits including the writer/executive producer/co-creator of the Lifetime's Rita Rocks as well as writing for the T.V. shows Gilmore Girls, Roseanne, The Brady Bunch Movie, A Very Brady Sequel, Golden Girls and most recently he has set up a single camera comedy pilot, The New Twenty, for ABC Family. Theatrical credits include directing: Entertaining Mr. Sloane (Actors Co.,) BLINK & You Might Miss Me (Asylum Lab/Hwd Fringe, SF Fringe, Vancouver's Chutzpah Festival and Palm Springs,) Spike Heels (Actors Circle), A Tuna Christmas (Asylum,) Gemini (Celebration Theatre) and the music video for All I Want by the band Whore's Mascara (LOGO.) Christian, along with his writing partner Valerie Ahern, have written for Married with Children, Desperate Housewives, Hannah Montana, Hot Properties and the T.V. show Clueless as well as the daytime soaps The Young and The Restless and The Bold and Beautiful. Currently they are writing two projects including Hollywood Heights (starring James Franco) and Jessie (Disney Channel.) They've created and executive produced the show Spyder Games (MTV.) Theatrically Christian has produced and directed The Phacts of Life in LA and he's been praised for his novels, Glamourpuss and Sex Toys of the Gods. Together Christian and Stan have had an amazing journey as writers. Working on It's On! and several other projects including their upcoming film The Homecoming Queen's Going Down and a new comedic play Meet and Greet; Stan will direct both.
