Crazy for the Dog - a new dark comedy written by Christopher Boal and directed by Eric Parness - will be given a 7-week commercial Off-Broadway extension by Rachel Reiner Productions LLC in association with Jean Cocteau Repertory with performances resuming July 11 and running through August 26 at the Bouwerie Lane Theatre (330 Bowery) in Manhattan.

The show "is a twisting, turning new dark comedy that exposes one family's deepest secret, a secret that binds together two siblings even as it threatens to destroy them. Racing through a lifetime of lies and pent-up blame, they cross New York to save not only a defenseless dog, but also their troubled relationship," according to press notes.

Performances for the Off-Broadway extension run Tuesdays through Fridays at 8:00pm and Saturdays at 2:00pm and 8:00pm. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased online at crazyforthedog.tix.com or by calling the Bouwerie Lane Theatre box office at 212-677-0060 x16.
