Norm Lewis joined Broadway Artists Alliance to lead a Little Mermaid-themed master class on Monday March 24, 2008.
Broadway Artists Alliance is the dynamic not-for-profit educational organization that is quickly gaining a reputation for ensuring the future of great Broadway talent by bringing together Broadway artists and promising young performers. BAA continued their 2008 One Day Master Class series on Monday with special guest,
Norm Lewis (Les Miserables,
The Little Mermaid, Side Show, etc). Lewis charmingly hosted an "Auditioning for Broadway" master class for 15 young participants ages 8 through 21. Students focused on song interpretation and what to expect from a Broadway audition. Additionally,
Jason Snow (
The Little Mermaid, The Music Man,
Hairspray, etc.) led an advanced dance master class, teaching combinations in the style of
The Little Mermaid. The young artists also benefited from training in musical theatre scene study.
The Broadway Artists Alliance 2008 Master Class series continued on Monday with
The Little Mermaid-themed master class. Upcoming master classes include
Hairspray (April 13), Spamalot (May 4), and
Young Frankenstein (June 23). High School Musical and
Spring Awakening master classes will be scheduled and announced shortly for the 2008 summer season.
