Photo Flash: Norm Lewis Hosts LIFEFORCE IN LATER YEARS Gala at Columbia University

Lifeforce in Later Years, a New York based non-profit that deploys community volunteers and resources to help senior age at home, held it's 7th Gala Fundraiser on May 7th at the Columbia Low Library Rotunda.

Broadway star, actor and baritone singer, Norm Lewis, who is best known for his roles in Porgy and Bess and The Phantom of the Opera emceed the event and Peter Yarrow, of the Peter Paul and Mary folk music trio, performed a concert as part of the evening's program.

Two individuals were honored; Dr. Craig Smith, Surgeon-in-Chief , New York- Presbyterian Hospital and will be the inaugural recipient of the Herbert Pardes Inspire Award. And Linda Fried, Dean of Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health will receive the Lily Legacy Leadership Award. Also included in the evening are a reception, silent auction, and mission appeal auction.

LiLY was founded by Irene Zola, Executive Director, "We're starting to reach our annual fundraising goals and we look forward to increasing our services to more seniors and educate others of this important mission," she said.
