The Williamstown Theater Festival has announced the "Nicholas Martin" sandwich, which is to be served at the popular local restaurant, Pappa Charlie's Deli. This latest addition to the seemingly endless menu of choices features pastrami, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and Russian dressing on toasted rye bread.
Pappa Charlie's Deli and the Williamstown Theatre Festival held an unveiling celebration on Friday, June 20 at 1:30pm. Pappa Charlie's is located at 28 Spring St. Williamstown, MA 01267.
Pappa Charlie's Deli has been featuring a wide variety of named sandwiches in Williamstown since 1976.
Nicholas Martin will be joining other Williamstown Theatre Festival favorites such as
Kate Burton,
Gwyneth Paltrow,
Christopher Reeve,
Blythe Danner,
James Naughton and
Michael Ritchie.
Nicholas Martin was recently named the Williamstown Theater Festival's new artistic director after eight seasons in the same post at the Huntington Theater Company in Boston, MA. Mr. Martin has directed over a dozen Williamstown productions including The Corn is Green (with
Kate Burton), Dead End (with
Campbell Scott) and The Royal Family (with
Blythe Danner,
Victor Garber, and
Marian Seldes). His critically acclaimed production of She Loves Me will play The Williamstown Theatre Festival's main stage from June 27 through July 12 after its successful run at the Huntington Theater Company.
Christopher Durang's Beyond Therapy, was playing on the Nikos Stage, and closed Sunday, June 22. Next up is
Campbell Scott in The Atheist by Ronan Noone, which plays June 25 through July 8 on the Nikos Stage. Ticket information for these shows and the complete season can be obtained online at
