Mayor Michael Bloomberg and New York City Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly rang in the New Year with the Off-Broadway musical, The Fantasticks.
Shortly before his "official" New Year's Eve duties were to commence a little further down Times Square, Mayor Bloomberg and Commissioner Kelly enjoyed a holiday performance of the world's longest running musical at the Snapple Theater Center's Jerry Orbach Theater (50th Street at Broadway).
Immediately following the performance, Commissioner Kelly escorted the Mayor to his post where he released the ball just moments before midnight at the 100th New Year's Eve Celebration in NYC's Times Square.

Produced by Steven Baruch, Marc Routh, Richard Frankel and Thomas Viertel, The Fantasticks plays at New York's Snapple Theater Center (210 West 50th Street at Broadway) in the newly named Jerry Orbach Theatre.
