Legendary singer-songwriter Barry Manilow's non-profit organization, the Manilow Music Project (www.manilowmusicproject.org) put more than $500,000 worth of musical instruments into the hands of 15 Clark County School District middle schools and high schools during a ceremony on Thursday, October 7 at Valley High School in Clark County, Nevada. Reinvigorating the school system's music program at a critical time of need; this is the single largest donation of its kind in Clark County history for a music program. "The happiest mayor in the world," Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman, was also on hand, as the five semi-trucks left directly from the event to drop the brand new instruments at schools across Clark County.
