The Princess Grace Awards are given to a select group of talented emerging artists in theater, dance, and film each year. For more than three decades, the Princess Grace Awards program has established itself as one of the nation's premier grant-making institutions, providing encouragement and support to the most talented emerging artists in America.
In addition to Mr. Wilson and Ms. Rita, notable past recipients include Tony Kushner, Pulitzer-Prize winning author of Angels in America; Robert Battle, Artistic Director of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater; Jon Chu, award-winning film director of the GI Joe 2: Cobra Strikes sequel, and Anna D. Shapiro, Tony Award-winning director of August Osage County - to name a few. Equally as important, the Awards have supported nearly 600 artists who have continued to work and excel in their chosen art form. Photo courtesy the Princes Grace Foundation-USA.
