The League of Professional Theatre Women (LPTW) launched its 35th season, championing women and leading the conversation about gender parity in the American theatre, on Tuesday, September 26th, at The Players Club on Gramercy Park. Scroll down for photos!
The event began with mingling. The co-presidents, Kelly Lynn Harrison and Lisa Rothe looked forward to the new year, in which LPTW will honor women like Betty Corwin, who founded the live theatre on film archives at Lincoln Center on November 8th, with a Lifetime Achievement Award, and Adelheid Roosen of the Netherlands, on October 23rd, with the LPTW Gilder-Coigney International Theatre Award (the only award of its kind, with nominees from around the globe, which honors international women in theatre), and celebrate women like Daryl Roth in our Oral History series on November 6th.
