Photo Flash: Katie Rose Clarke, Ryan Andes & More in Boomerang's LOVELESS TEXAS Workshop

Boomerang Theatre Company recently presented the development workshop of LOVELESS TEXAS, the new musical from Boomerang Associate Artistic Director Cailín Heffernan and composer Henry Aronson. Boomerang Theatre Company continues as producer on the project, following up on the 2010 industry reading at Playwrights Horizons' Peter Jay Sharp Theater.

LOVELESS TEXAS tells the story of two brothers in Depression-era Texas who, shaken by the accidental death of their parents, bury themselves: one in hard work, the other in relentless partying. Economic hard times force them into confrontation, but romance and music teach the brothers to open their hearts to reconciliation. Set to a lively Americana-flavored score, LOVELESS TEXAS celebrates the joy of finding the heart's true home.

LOVELESS TEXAS will have its' world premiere production as part of Boomerang's 2016/2017 season.

The reading starred Ryan Andes (Broadway's Big Fish), Michael Castillejos (Careless Love at American Repertory Theatre), Katie Rose Clarke (Broadway's Wicked), Rob Evan (Broadway's Jekyll & Hyde), Kimberly JuJuan (Marie Christine at Lincoln Center Theater), Christine Jones, Nina Victoria Negron (Rent at The Secret Theatre), Jake Odmark (Broadway's Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark), Zane Phillips, Bart Matthew Shatto (Broadway's Les Miserables), Monique St. Cyr and Lilly Tobin (Grease at Walnut Street Theater)
