Photo Flash: JEOPARDY! Winner Choyon Manjrekar Attends KINKY BOOTS Tour Performance

The 2013 Tony® Award-winning Best Musical Kinky Boots opened at the Providence Performing Arts Center last night, where recent Jeopardy! winner Choyon Manjrekar, a Providence, RI City Planner, caught up with Kinky Boots producer Hal Luftig and cast from the national tour of Kinky Boots. What is the connection? Mr. Manjrekar was given the clue "A Christian hymn and a Jewish holiday hymn are both titled this, also the name of a 2009 Tony-nominated musical." He answered "What is Kinky Boots?"...and while that was not the correct answer, the moment went viral across the nation. Mr. Manjrekar told Mr. Luftig that when he heard the question, the first show he thought of was Kinky Boots!

Kinky Boots is the smash-hit musical that brings together four-time Tony® Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy® Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Tony® Award-winner for Best Score for Kinky Boots).
