DRUM TAO and Ippudo restaurant partnered to create a Drum Heart bowl in honor of TAO's New York City debut at NYU Skirball from Thursday, February 11 through Sunday, February 14. Inspired by the energy of TAO, the Drum Heart bowl consists of black sesame spicy pork soup served with pork belly chasu, spicy miso paste, crispy onion chips, cabbage, cilantro, and lime, finished at the table with Rayu spicy sesame oil.
TAO established a partnership with Ippudo restaurants in 2010, and they have since opened collaborative Ippudo TAO restaurants in Japan and Singapore. In combining Japanese food and theatre, the two companies aim "to deliver smiles, vigor, courage, and vitality" to the world. While TAO: DRUM HEART is in New York, the limited TAO ramen menu will be available at Ippudo's East Village and West Side locations.
