The 17th annual ASCAP Foundation Awards Event took place at Jazz at Lincoln Center last week. Check out photos of highlights from the award events below!

Among the musical theater-related awards presented was the Mary Rodgers-Lorenz Hart Award to lyricist Marcy Heisler, longtime creative partner of Zina Goldrich, whose EVER AFTER is Broadway-bound. The award was presented to her by Tony-winning composer Adam Guettel, who is the son of Mary Rodgers.

Also, among the musical theater-related awards presented was the Richard Rodgers New Horizons Award to the composer-lyricist team of Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner, whose adaptation of SECONDHAND LIONS is headed to Broadway. Actors Matt Cavenaugh and Michael Rose performed a song from the forthcoming show in tribute to Zachary & Weiner. The award was presented by the prolific composer, Stephen Schwartz.
