The Public Theater opened the MOBILE UNIT'S ROMEO & JULIET on Friday, April 15. Directed by Lear deBessonet, the sit-down run of ROMEO & JULIET follows a three-week tour of the five boroughs, bringing Shakespeare to audiences who have limited or no access to the arts. Continuing Artistic Director Oskar Eustis' 10th Anniversary season, the Shakespeare classic began previews on Monday, April 11 and will run in The Public's Shiva Theater through Sunday, May 1. Tickets for the sit-down run of ROMEO & JULIET at The Public are available now. Tickets can be accessed by calling (212) 967-7555, www.publictheater.org, or in person at the Taub Box Office at The Public Theater at 425 Lafayette Street. To further the mission and reach of the MOBILE UNIT, tickets for each performance of the limited run at The Public Theater will be given to community organizations that cannot host a visit from the tour.
