Celebrity guests recently mentored children at rehearsals for the 10th annual Garden of Dreams talent show, taking place at Radio City Music Hall on April 11. Among the mentors were Hoda Kotb (NBC's Today Show), Darryl "DMC" McDaniels (hip hop pioneer and talent show creative director), Nastia Liukin (gymnast and Olympic gold medalist), Damaris Lewis (model and dancer), Christina Sajous (Broadway's American Idiot, Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark), and The Rockettes. BroadwayWorld has photos below!
The more than 100 children participating in the upcoming talent show will rehearse their singing, dancing, gymnastics, spoken word, hip-hop and musical acts while the celebrity mentors offer advice on how to improve their technique and overall performance.
The Garden of Dreams Foundation is a non-profit charity that works with The Madison Square Garden Company and MSG Networks Inc. to positively impact the lives of children facing obstacles such as homelessness, extreme poverty, illness and foster care. The Foundation hosts the annual Talent Show event where children from various partner organizations are presented with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform in front of their family and friends at Radio City Music Hall.
