On Monday night, sixteen Broadway stars were featured in Broadway Sings Adele, the latest concert in the Broadway Sings series. The tribute concerts take the music of well-known music icons and create new, unique arrangements and orchestrations by twisting the style to fit the strength of the performer. Previous concerts have included Beyoncé, Stevie Wonder, Justin Timberlake, and Rihanna. This summer, the Sony Hall series will continue with Broadway Sings Ariana Grande.
Featured in the lineup were Mallory Bechtel (Dear Evan Hansen), Nick Rashad Burroughs (King Kong), Kayla Davion(King Kong), Matt Doyle (The Book of Mormon), Jason Gotay (Bring It On), Brennyn Lark (Les Miserables), Tamika Lawrence (Come From Away), Kristolyn Lloyd (Dear Evan Hansen), Corey Mach (Kinky Boots), Mary Kate Morrissey(Wicked), Abby Mueller (Beautiful), Isaac Powell (Once on This Island), Kate Rockwell (Mean Girls), Wesley Taylor(SpongeBob SquarePants), Zurin Villaneuva (Mean Girls) and Natalie Weiss (Everyday Rapture).
