In the middle of the performance of THOKOZA: I Sing For Freedom on Monday night, August 19, at the Baruch Performing Arts Center, the audience recognized Harry Belafonte as the cast reprised his famous calypso songs and gave him a spontaneous show stopping standing ovation. He eventually stood and acknowledged the applause with a broad smile and a grand wave. Scroll down for a photo of him with the cast!

THOKOZA: I Sing For Freedom is six women of a certain age, African and African American, with over 130 years of singing experience.
