The Human Rights Campaign, the nation's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) civil rights organization, held its annual Greater New York Gala Dinner on Saturday, February 6, at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. The event was co-chaired by Bryan Parsons and Michelle Galindo.
This year's dinner was themed "Speak the Truth," symbolizing the time for political representatives, allies, and members to put power in words to push for LGBT equality.
Sarah Jessica Parker presented Time Warner Inc. with the 2010 Corporate Equality Award in honor of their commitment to equality for LGBT employees, consumers, and investors. Tony award winning actress Bebe Neuwirth was honored with the Ally for Equality Award, and Broadway Impact co-founders Rory O'Malley and Jenny Kanels received the HRC Community Equality Award. The program also included remarks by U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY).
