"One of the many joys of being Artistic Director of Shakespeare Academy at Stratford," said Artistic Director Brian McManamon "is having the chance to tell people who we are and what we're about. It's an incredibly unique program. Created with the purest of intents, SA@S brings young theater artists from around the country and abroad to train and perform in the Shakespeare loving community of Stratford, Connecticut. As we enter our fourth season, this event is a wonderful opportunity to bridge our communities, share our story and grow support for the brave, generous and spirited young artists who make up the Shakespeare Academy at Stratford."
Now in its fourth season, the Shakespeare Academy @ Stratford is a 6-week summer theater training and performance program that uniquely combines the study of Shakespeare's text, contemporary ensemble training, and the opportunity to rehearse and perform in two Shakespeare productions in repertory on the grounds of the historic American Shakespeare Festival Theater in Stratford, CT. The 2017 season will include Measure For Measure and The Tempest, with performances from July 29 through August 6.
