Business leaders, philanthropists, survivors, and researchers attended LUNGevity Foundation's Musical Celebration of Hope Gala to celebrate the extraordinary progress in lung cancer research at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium. Scroll down for photos from the event!

NBC News4's Chief Meteorologist Doug Kammerer emceed the event. Program participants included Foundation President and Chairman Andrea Ferris, Event Chairs Bob Norton and Suzy Pence, and Dinner Chair Grace Bender. Guests included The Honorable George and Susan Allen, The Honorable Stuart and Wilma Bernstein, Dr. Susan Blumenthal, Marcia Carlucci, Rose and Paul Carter, Elaine and Ken Cole, Jamie and David Dorros, Alexine Jackson, Greta Kreuz, Lyn and Mark McFadden, Laurie and Bob Monahan, Pat and Phil Norton, Linda and Edwin Phelps, Dennis Ratner and Julianne White, Amanda and Earl Stafford, Paul Stern, Annie S. Totah, and Connie Whitfield. The night concluded with a beautiful performance by Jersey Boys' Tony Award Winner, John Lloyd Young.

LUNGevity Foundation President and Chairman Andrea Ferris presented the Face of Hope Award to Congresswoman Diana DeGette, whose bipartisan initiative, 21st Century Cures, continues to drive the nation toward forward-thinking innovation in health care, and who has shown commitment to accelerating the pace of medical advances and cures in America.

Richard Heimler, nine-time lung cancer survivor and LUNGevity Hero honoree, presented the Hope Award for Corporate Leadership to Abbott Molecular for their pioneering work in diagnostics and their commitment to the lung cancer community. Heimler firsthand understands the vital role diagnostics play having personally benefited from Abbott Molecular's diagnostics, which allowed him to transition to personalized medicine and continue to fight the cancer. Christopher J. Jowett, Global Commercial Head of Companion Diagnostics accepted the award on behalf of Abbott Molecular.
