On April 3rd, Gospel singer Donny McClurkin rendered a pop-up master class at the Mama Foundation for the Arts at the request of popular radio personality, producer and founder, Vy Higginsen. The students in attendance were from the from the top tier level of Gospel for Teens and the adult class, Wednesday Sings both taught by The Mama Foundation's Executive Music and Program Director, Knoelle Higginson. The Mama Foundation for Arts seeks to present, preserve, and promote the history and fundamentals of gospel, jazz, and rhythm and blues music for current and future generations. The Foundation has established a cultural space in Harlem where youth and adults have access to quality training and employment as performing artists at low or no cost.
