Photo Flash: Go Inside Lincoln Center's Spring Gala, Hosted by Christian Borle!

Lincoln Center's Spring Gala took place on Monday, April 11, at Rose Hall at Jazz at Lincoln Center. Steven A. Kandarian and MetLife were honored. There were 470 guests and nearly $3 million was raised. Since 1997, MetLife's sponsorship of Live From Lincoln Center has been instrumental to the series' success, and has enabled Lincoln Center to bring this program to hundreds of millions of people across the nation, building new audiences for the arts.

Performers included were pianist Inon Barnatan, actor Michael Ceveris, actress Patina Miller, and singer Ailyn Pérez. The evening was hosted by two-time Tony Award winner Christian Borle, best known for his portrayals of Black Stache in the Broadway production of Peter and the Starcatcher, William Shakespeare in the Broadway production of Something Rotten!, and Tom Levitt on NBC's musical-drama series Smash. New York City Ballet's Robert Fairchild and Megan Fairchild presented the ballet film shown during the gala.

The pioneering series has been seen by hundreds of millions of viewers, and collected 14Emmy Awards, including one for Outstanding Special Class Program for the 2014 broadcast of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, starring Bryn Terfel, Emma Thompson, and the New York Philharmonic.
