New York, October 10, 2013--Fordham University Theatre Company, together with INTAR Theatre, presents the New York stage debut of Cuban-American playwright and director Maria Irene Fornes' "What of the Night?" at Pope Theatre (113 W. 60th St. & Columbus Ave. at Lincoln Center) until tomorrow, October 11 at 8 p.m.
1990 Pulitzer Prize for Drama finalist, "What of the Night?" is Off-Off Broadway movement advocate Fornes' harrowing vision of poverty, where four thematically linked one-acts explore the crises of those who live in hunger.
"What of the Night?" opens Fordham University Theatre Company's 2013-2014 Mainstage Season with theme "A Season of Facing Demons."
Directed by INTAR Theatre Artistic Director Lou Moreno, "What of the Night?" features set design by Joey Mendoza, costume design by Antonia Ford-Roberts, lighting design by Chad McArver, and sound design by Bart Fasbender.
Its cast includes James Ellinas, John Donchak, Alex Porterfield, Sarah Hegarty, Amber Avant, Anna Crivelli, Connor Dunlap, Dylan Ungaretta, Winter Dunn, and Mandy Heiser.
