In response to critical acclaim and popular demand, LAByrinth Theater Company extends the world premiere of Homos, Or Everyone in America by Jordan Seavey to December 11. Homos, Or Everyone in America, directed by Mike Donahue and featuring two-time Tony nominee Robin De Jesús (In The Heights, La Cage Aux Folles) and Drama Desk Award winner Michael Urie (Buyer and Cellar, Ugly Betty, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying), is a bitingly tender new play about trying to live and love in New York. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!
Sometimes your country takes a momentous step forward. And sometimes it takes a giant step back. In Homos, or Everyone in America, two young men traverse the ups and down of being gay in the 21st Century, where progress is always just around the corner -- but so is hate. This timely, hilarious and heartbreaking play believes that love is love, and that while we may sometimes lose a battle, we will never stop fighting the war for what is right.
Completing the cast in supporting roles are Aaron Costa Ganis and Stacey Sargeant. The creative team includes Dane Laffrey (sets), Jessica Pabst (costumes), Scott Zielinski (lights), Daniel Kluger (sound & original compositions), Lee Kinney (sound), and Hannah Woodward (production stage manager).
Performances of Homos, Or Everyone in America will now take place through December 11 (see above schedule) at Bank Street Theater, located at 155 Bank Street in Manhattan. Tickets are $30-$50 and can be purchased by visiting labtheater.org or by calling 212.513.1080.
