KOTA Productions presents the New York City premiere of Mary Hall Surface's adaptation of The Hundred Dresses, now through October 23, 2016 at the Dorothy Strelsin Theatre. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

Eleanor Estes' 1945 Newbery Honor tells the story of Wanda Petronski, a Polish girl in a Connecticut school who is ridiculed by her classmates for claiming she has one hundred dresses, when she only has one faded blue dress. This timeless tale addresses the hurt inflicted by teasing and the painful consequences for bystanders who fail to act courageously, when they have the power to make a change.

With seating on three sides of the audience, this unique theater experience will immerse and engage audiences of all ages in a story about peer pressure, tolerance, fitting in, creativity, and imagination.

The cast features Mia Sinclair Jenness (Les Miserables, Matilda) as Madeline Reeves, Danielle Gordon (Les Miserables) as Wanda Petronski, Spike Christie as Jan Petronski/Mr. Svenson, Luisa Maria Badaracco (Joy) as Shelly Reeves, Benton Sheely (A Little Princess) as Miss Mason, Kaci Walfall (The Lion King, Matilda) as Peggy Thomas, Presley Ryan (Fun Home, The Grinch) as Cecile Allen, William Poon (The King & I) as Willie Bounce, Sean Reda (Les Miserables) as Jack Beggles, and Stephen Sayegh (Pippin) as Jacob Petronski.

Creative team includes scenic design by Rob Lavagno, lighting design by AaRon Porter, costumes by Lucy Luc, with Alex Bird as the Assistant Director. Directed/Produced by Laura Luc.

Audiences are encouraged to take part in the '100 Dresses Drive', and can drop off a new or lightly-used dress donation at the performance. The drive is being run by the child actors in the production, who have made it their goal to collect one hundred dresses for those in need.

The Dorothy Strelsin Theatre is located at 312 W 36th St, New York, NY 10018. Tickets may be purchased online at www.KOTAProductions.com.
