Opening Night is Monday, April 22 at 6:30pm for award-winning stage and screen actress Fiona Shaw's return to Broadway in The Testament of Mary, a new playby acclaimed author Colm Tóibín, directed by Deborah Warner. The limited engagement began previews on Tuesday, March 26 at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48 Street). BroadwayWorld brings you a first look at Shaw in action below!

In The The Testament of Mary the mother of Jesus tells her story of her son's Crucifixion.

This historic collaboration between actress Fiona Shaw and director Deborah Warner results in the creation, for the first time, of a new work for Broadway, written by acclaimed author Colm Tóibín. Scribner published The Testament of Mary last fall to international acclaim. The New York Times called it "beautiful and daring." London's The Independent proclaimed it as "a searing, stunning work." "Flawless. Touching, moving and terrifying," said the New Statesman. Entertainment Weekly raved, "it's spellbinding; exquisitely emotional. A generous leap of imagination," and The New York Review of Books called it "subversive and ruthless, Tóibín's boldest jump yet," and lauded it for its "sensational theatricality."

The Testament of Mary has scenery designed by Tom Pye, costume designed by Ann Roth, lighting designed by Jennifer Tipton and original music and sound designed by Mel Mercier.

The performance schedule for The Testament of Mary is Tuesday at 7pm, Wednesdays at 2pm and 8pm, Thursdays at 7pm, Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 2pm and 8pm and Sundays at 3pm.

Tickets for The Testament of Mary are available at the Walter Kerr Theatre box office, at telecharge.com$ and testamentonbroadway.com or by calling 212-239-6200.
