Now through Sunday, March 29, Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter and international music superstar Jennifer Nettles and Broadway baby Carly Hughes (Pippin, Beautiful) are dazzling New York audiences as Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly in the Tony Award-winning, record-breaking hit musical CHICAGO at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St.).

BroadwayWorld brings you a first look at the pair on stage below!

Nettles has become one of the most popular singer-songwriters in music today and recently had a #1 Country Album with her solo debut CD "That Girl." As the lead vocalist of the country group Sugarland, the band exploded onto the music scene in 2004 and have worldwide sales of over 22 million (albums and singles) to date, have achieved eight No. 1 singles and have won numerous awards including trophies from the Grammys, AMAs, ACM Awards, CMT Music Awards and CMA Awards.

Nettles is making her Broadway debut with Chicago.

Hughes most recently appeared on Broadway as the Leading Player in the Tony-winning revival of Pippin. Her other Broadway credits include Beautiful: The Carole King Musical (Lucille/ Lead Shirelle), The Book of Mormon, Ghost (Oda Mae u/s, Louise), the revival of Ragtime (u/s Sarah), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

Set amidst the razzle-dazzle decadence of the 1920s, CHICAGO is the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. Desperate to avoid conviction, she dupes the public, the media and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago's slickest criminal lawyer to transform her malicious crime into a barrage of sensational headlines, the likes of which might just as easily be ripped from today's tabloids.
