Photo Flash: Faith Healer's Ralph Fiennes Greets Fans

Tony Award-winner Ralph Fiennes stars with Ian McDiarmid and Tony Award-winner Cherry Jones in Brian Friel's Faith Healer, formerly a hit at Dublin's Gate Theatre. The show, which began previews on April 18th, will open on May 4th at the Booth Theatre (222 W. 45th Street).
Directed by Jonathan Kent, "Faith Healer tells the moving tale of
dissolute, charismatic Frank Hardy (Fiennes), his long-time lover
(Jones) and his devoted manager (McDiarmid) as they travel
the back roads of Scotland and Wales peddling miracles. As the three
wrestle with Hardy's genuine but elusive gift for healing, they ask
potent questions about who we trust, what we know and why we believe. Faith Healer
offers the unique opportunity to see three of our finest actors on one
stage and delights those with faith in the enduring power of live
theatre," state press notes.
Fiennes won a Tony Award for his Broadway performance in Hamlet, and has also performed on the West End stage. His many film credits include Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, The Constant Gardner, The English Patient and Schindler's List; he received Oscar nominations for the latter two films.
