On Sunday, November 11th, Feinstein's/54 Below celebrated the composing debut of Ben Caplan with his show Geeks, Misfits, and Nobodies.
The evening boasted original music celebrating the oddballs and weirdos that make the world go round. In a song cycle that paid homage to the bizarre and the eccentric, Ben and a cast of Broadway favorites raised a glass to the Geeks, Misfits, and Nobodies of the world!
The evening was produced by Jen Sandler and music directed by Caplan.
The band featured Caplan (Piano), Jeffrey Frias (Bass), Daniel Tepper (Guitar), Josh Plotner (Reeds), and Alfonse Vetere (Drums).
Performers included Nicholas Barasch (She Loves Me), Jake Boyd (Wicked, Sweeney Todd), Nick Rashad Burroughs (Kinky Boots, Something Rotten!), Harrison Chad (The Black Suits, Caroline, Or Change), Alexis Field (50 Shades! The Musical), F. Michael Haynie (Charlie & the Chocolate Factory), Storm Lever (Summer: The Donna Summer Musical), Charlotte Maltby (The Sound Of Music), Gabrielle Pisapia (French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts), Heath Saunders (The Great Comet, Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert), Phil Sloves (SpongeBob SquarePants), and Natalie Walker (Puffs).
