Last night, the Library of Congress hosted a special evening to celebrate the Centennial of legendary comedian, actor and humanitarian Danny Kaye and his wife Sylvia Fine Kaye.
The event marked the launch of the Kaye family archives and website featuring 2,000 items from the Danny Kaye and Sylvia Fine collection, which lives in the Library's Music Division. Attendees of yesterday evening's event included U.S. Representatives Cohen, Dingell, Meadows, Mica, Nadler, Nolan, Petri, Shimkus and U.S. Senators Risch and Roberts. Highlights of the evening included personal remarks by Senator Chris Dodd, George Stevens Jr., Dena Kaye and a musical performance by five-time Grammy-nominated recording artist Michael Feinstein. The event was produced by Scott Mauro Entertainment Inc.
