The Emergent Arts Company will perform what may be the most popular play ever written. The Mousetrap by Agatha Christie has run in London for almost 57 years since opening in 1952, longer than any other play, ever. A classic comedy murder mystery, it tells the story of the young owners of a country manor inn who one wintry day receive several mysterious guests, one of whom may be a murderer. Based on a true story, The Mousetrap set the standard for murder mystery plays.

Emergent Arts director Debra Reichard stays true to the classic beloved history of this great play, while also delivering one or two new surprises, including a score for the performance by Larry Rusinsky. Featured are local actor/director David Andrews, Emergent Arts alumni Jeff Stringer and Dayna Smith, Comic Opera Guild co-founder Patricia Petiet, area actors Gary Regal and Heather Liebal, actor/artist Brenda Oelbaum, and versatile young Dexter native Nathan Magyar.

Location: Arthur Miller Theater in The Walgreen Center, 1226 Murfin Ave. Ann Arbor, MI 48109.

Dates and Times: May 21-24, Thursday through Saturday at 8 pm, Saturday and Sunday at 2 pm. Special preview Wednesday May 20 at 8pm.

Tickets: $20 General Admission, $16 Seniors and Students with ID. (Wednesday preview, all tickets $10.)
