Daniel Radcliffe recently spoke to Dujour.com about his latest role in Broadway's THE CRIPPLE OF INISHMAAN. The article featured a great spread of photos, and you can check them out below!
In the interview, Radcliffe described 'INISHMAAN' as "very breathtaking cruel at times." He continued: "...it got a wonderfully vocal reaction from London audiences. And you know London audiences are a bit more reserved than New York audiences, so I do remember thinking at the time that if this is the reaction we're getting in London, I will really enjoy doing the show in New York."
The actor also discussed being drawn to "dark" roles and the benefits of being an NYC actor, saying: "I love to hang out after shows. On HOW TO SUCCEED, we had something called Thursday Night on Broadway, because Thursday we'd have an early show, and after we'd all have a party upstairs in one of the dressing rooms. That's the sort of stuff that makes a show, and this company of CRIPPLE, we're really a close-knit group, we make each other laugh quite a lot so I'm sure I'll be repeating some of those nights."
The Michael Grandage Company production of The Cripple of Inishmaan, by Martin McDonagh, starring Daniel Radcliffe and the critically acclaimed West End cast, directed by Tony Award-winner Michael Grandage, will open on Broadway during the afternoon of Sunday, April 20 at the Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street). Previews will begin Saturday, April 12.
