Photo Flash: Broadway's Madison Lagares Talks Broadway At Actors Connection

Broadway's Madison Lagares surprised young performers yesterday at Actors Connection Performing Arts Camp with a special discussion about acting in "School of Rock".

Madison also spoke about performing in "On Your Feet", hand-picked by Gloria Estefan to play her younger self in the Broadway musical. The Kids & Teens attending the program enjoyed a Q&A with Madison followed by an autograph session - check out the photos below!

Director Walid Chaya said, "Our campers are breaking into the entertainment industry through our program and meeting Madison is very exciting for them since she's so relatable. She gave them an inside look at working on Broadway, it was very special."

In addition to meeting Broadway Stars, participants attend master classes with nearly a dozen Casting Directors and Talent Agents during the weeklong camp. They also film a scene for their demo reel and receive a complimentary headshot. Past participants have landed representation or auditions and bookings for major NY/LA productions following the program.

This Fall Actors Connection will partner with Broadway Dance Center (BDC) for a "Triple Threat" weekend master class series for Kids & Teens. BDC offers over 350 classes weekly, taught by some of the world's most renowned teachers and choreographers. "We are bringing the best of both worlds together so Kids & Teens will have the chance to dance, act and sing, each with a different industry professional, all in one day," said Chaya.

Fall programs with Actors Connection Kids & Teens will be announced towards the end of the month, featuring the Broadway "Triple Threat" series and a Pre-Pilot Season Weekend with 5 Casting Directors & Talent Agents.
