Photo Flash: Broadway Beauty Pageant

On April 28th the Second Annual Broadway Beauty Pageant (formerly titled Mr. Broadway) was held at New World Stages. The winner was Marty Thomas (Mr. Xanadu).
Anthony Rapp hosted with guest judges Seth Rudetsky, Hunter Bell and Susan Blackwell. Contestants included Tommy Berklund (Mr. A Chorus Line), Austin Eyer (Mr. Curtains), Joe Komara (Mr. Grease), Daniel Robinson (Mr. Hairspray) and Marty Thomas (Mr. Xanadu), with special guest Michael Riedel to crown the winner. Creative Team: Jeffery Self (writer/producer), Ryan J. Davis (director/producer), Carl Siciliano (Ali Forney executive director), Wil Fisher (Ali Forney Center). Also, on hand was last years winner Frankie Grande.The evening featured male cast members representing their respective Broadway shows. Contestants competed for the title crown through talent, interview and swimsuit competitions. Each of the contestants went head to head in front of a panel of celebrity judges, but ultimately, the final vote was in the hands of the audience.
